How to Use Power Automate to Send Data from Power BI to Your Users
Automate report distribution and data delivery with Power Automate.
Power Automate can trigger on a schedule or event and then call Power BI APIs (e.g. export to file, trigger refresh) or read from a dataset, then send the result by email, Teams, or to another system.
Typical flows
Use a scheduled flow to export a report to PDF or Excel and email it to a list. Or use “When a flow is triggered” and parameters to let users request a one-off export. You can also push data into a dataset via the REST API from Automate.
Ensure service principals and permissions are set correctly; use a dedicated account or app registration for automated access to Power BI.
