Page Navigation in Power BI

Build button-based navigation and drill-through experiences in reports.

Good navigation keeps reports easy to use. In Power BI you can use buttons with “Bookmark” or “Page navigation” actions to jump between pages, and drill-through to pass context (e.g. a selected product) to a detail page.

Patterns

Create a “menu” page with buttons that navigate to each section. Use drill-through on visuals so users can right-click and go to a detail page with filters set. Combine with bookmarks to toggle between views (e.g. summary vs detail) on the same page.

Keep navigation consistent (e.g. back button, breadcrumbs) so users don’t get lost in large reports.
